| June 16-17, 2010 –June 16-17, 2010 – Mobile Messenger sponsored a charity event organized by Cincinnati Bell on behalf of the Boomer Esiason Cystic Fibrosis Charity on June 17th. MM’s own Mike Profit represented MM in a sporting clay pigeon shooting event in Kentucky. Mike scored a very respectable 86/100 and formed a team with ClearSky Media and TelLabs (who shot 21, 41 and 45/100).
It was a hugely successful day, giving Mobile Messenger the opportunity to support a valuable charity, to meet the CEO of Cincinnati Bell as well as other executives from other companies supporting the event.
For those of you who don't know, Boomer Esiason was named to four Pro Bowl games (1986, 1988, 1989, 1993) and holds several NFL career records for left-handed quarterbacks, including most touchdown passes (247), passing yards (37,920), and completions (2,969). Among the awards Boomer Esiason has earned during his career include the NFL Most Valuable Player Award in 1988 (leading the league with a quarterback rating of 97.4), and the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 1995 for his charitable work.
Boomer's son, Gunnar, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis 18 years ago. Through the charitable work of Boomer's Foundation, over $80 million dollars have been raised for cystic fibrosis. Gunnar is doing very well and is currently attending Boston College and will be joined by his sister, Sidney, in September.
