Flash Designer/Developer - Santa Monica, CA

Design Group Manager

Job Purpose

Responsible for concepts & design of advertising media and web sites for mobile entertainment services.

Essential Responsibilities

• Design of banners/ logos/ animation/ navigation using Flash and other rich media
• Working individually and with other designers to integrate Flash animation/ interactivity to HTML/ CSS compliant sites
• Design & implementation of mobile entertainment web sites
• Creation of flash and .gif banners and ensuring they are within multiple specs
• Work closely with Account Managers to ensure quality and specified requirements are met for each project.
• Tracking and improvement of individual hours for each project.
• Participate in weekly design meetings.
• Other tasks outlined by design group manager.
• Adherence to all Mobile Messenger policies and procedures

Essential Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Flash and Actionscript 1 & 2
• Experience in using
  • Adobe CS Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Macromedia Studio
• Hand-coding of HTML, CSS, intermediate knowledge of JavaScript
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Able to work within tight deadlines to produce and validate Flash creative
• Eagerness to learn and improve
• Superior problem-solving and communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Innovative self starter
• 2-5 yrs of design experience and strong graphic & web design skills

Desirable

• Experience designing and building web landing pages
• Knowledge of using XML with Flash, Flex
• Experience creating flash banners for use on large ad servers
• Experience in the Mobile Entertainment or related industry
